Nikola Vucevic Stands Up For Arturas Karnisovas Amid Criticism From Bulls Fans

A few years ago, the Chicago Bulls looked like genuine contenders, but since that point, the team have simply struggled to improve their team in any significant way. Recently, the team have tried to overhaul the roster, moving out the likes of DeMar Derozan, Zach Lavine and Alex Caruso, although the results on the court haven't changed much.
That's led to plenty of criticism for the front office, especially VP of Basketball Operations Arturas Karnisovas, with star centre Nikola Vucevic standing up for him in a recent interview.
“When he first got there, I thought he made some very good moves—signing Lonzo, Caruso, Vucevic, and DeMar. I thought it was a very good team; it just did not work out. After that, sometimes it is hard to figure out what to do next. We had a lot of injuries and other challenges, but overall, I think he has done a good job. Now they have decided to go with slightly younger players, and they did a good job in the draft as well. I think it is understandable that fans want results right away, but sometimes you need to be patient. Overall, I think he has done some pretty good things.”
As Vucevic mentions, sometimes good moves are made but things don't pan out, with injuries, unexpected struggles and team chemistry all playing a role in how things can change.

The current Bulls core consists of Vucevic, Ayo Dosunmu, Coby White and Josh Giddey, and while it's unclear how far this current group can go, it's hard to fault some of the moves this organization have made in recent times.
