Phoenix Suns Surprise Trade Offer To Golden State For Jonathan Kuminga Revealed

The Golden State Warriors have been at the centre of much trade speculation this off-season, mostly involving a potential sign-and-trade with 22-year-old forward Jonathan Kuminga. Thus far, no deal has come close, but with the former first-round pick not entertaining the team's two-year, $45 million offer, a trade appears to be the logical outcome in this scenario.

While a deal isn't close, there are reportedly several teams still interested in landing Kuminga, who averages 15.5 points a night over his past two seasons, with Sacramento and Phoenix the two teams most aggressive in pursuit of him. Now, Marc Spears has the latest on the growing trade pursuit of Kuminga, revealing the package that the Phoenix Suns offered the Warriors for the 22-year old.

According to his report, Phoenix offered Royce O'Neale, Nick Richards, and four second-round picks. While Kuminga has immense talent as a former No. 7 overall pick, given his lack of development in recent years, that's a noteworthy offer for him. In Richards and O'Neale, the Warriors would boost their front-court depth while adding further assets that they can flip for an upgrade at the deadline, but so far, General Manager Mike Dunleavy Jr. hasn't budged.

It has not yet been revealed what the Warriors would covet in a return, as they believe they can convince Kuminga to stay and buy into the future of the Warriors team, but if they do end up trading him, getting this type of return would be a major win for the Warriors.
