Milwaukee Bucks Linked to Recently Acquired Boston Celtics Guard
Aug 28, 2025
The Milwaukee Bucks have been very busy this off-season, with the team having the potential to once again be genuine NBA title contenders in the Eastern Conference. The biggest moves of the summer for this team were moving on from Damian Lillard and signing Myles Turner, although many are still underwhelmed looking at this roster.
That's led to questions over the future of star power forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, but for the most part, the organization have remained committed to winning with the Greek Freak. Now, they may be looking to add to the roster before training camp, with a recent report linking them to talented guard Anfernee Simons.
Simons was acquired by the Boston Celtics earlier this summer in a deal for Jrue Holiday with Portland, but as we've seen already, the team aren't opposed to then flipping a newly acquired player as they did with Georges Niang. In Simons, the Bucks would be getting great depth at the guard position, with the 26-year old averaging 22, 21 and 20 points over the past three seasons.

It's unclear exactly what the Bucks could offer, but with arguably the best front court in the entire NBA, it makes sense if they want to add depth elsewhere on their intriguing roster. While the Bucks have talent up front, there's some lacking in the back court, so while Simons may not be a starter for this team, if the Bucks can land him, he may be the perfect sixth man for them in 2025/26.
