Luka Doncic Reveals How His Weight Loss Will Change His Game Next Season

One of the biggest stories in the NBA this off-season has been the physical transformation of Lakers star Luka Doncic, who has seemingly gotten in the best shape of his NBA career thus far. That has many believing that this Lakers team could be a genuine NBA title threat, but after thriving in less than stellar shape, the question is, how good can Doncic be?

In EuroBasket thus far, Doncic put up an incredible performance for Slovenia, and with a deep roster, Lakers fans are thrilled about the ceiling of this team.

For the most part though, fans are wondering just how different Luka's game will be after his physical transformation, and that's a question he recently answered.

"Honestly, nothing different. Just probably less tired, a little bit quicker."

In very honest fashion, Doncic admitted that there probably isn't going to be too much of a difference, although he may be a little quicker and a little less tired towards the end of games. Given how he's produced in the NBA already, averaging 29 points with Dallas and Los Angeles, the rest of the league should not be taking Doncic's changes likely, as this makes him a much more dangerous player.

While he's not won an MVP yet, with a little more speed and more stamina towards the end of games, this may be Doncic's year to do just that, and with the talent around him in LA, the sky is the limit for Luka and the Lakers in 2025/26.
