Sacramento Kings Reportedly Make Two Players Untouchable in Trade Talks

The Sacramento Kings broke their NBA Playoffs drought in 2023/24 as one of the most exciting teams in the league, but since then, they've gone about completely transforming the roster. Gone is long-time star DeAaron Fox, who has been replaced by veterans Zach Lavine and DeMar Derozan, with many fans wondering what the direction is for this team moving forward.

There have been worries that this team is looking to get too old with the addition of two players over the age of 30, but this summer they've also been involved in trade talks with the Warriors over 22-year old Jonathan Kuminga. As of right now, it's unlikely that a deal gets done in the near future, but with the team looking for elite level talent of the future, they believe that Kuminga fits that bill.

Reportedly, the team have offered a combination of draft picks and Malik Monk, but nothing has made the Warriors budge, leading some fans to believe a much bigger offer is coming in. If that is the case, we know two players that won't be involved in trade talks, as beat writer Jason Anderson reveals the two players that are untouchable in trade talks for the Kings.

Unsurprisingly, those two players are Keegan Murray and Keon Ellis, two players that have proven they are invaluable to this Kings organization for the future.

Only time will tell if the Kings can convince Golden State that a trade for Kuminga makes sense, but one thing we know is for sure and that is that Murray and Ellis are both crucial to the future of the Kings.
