Quentin Grimes Latest Social Media Post Hints At His Philadelphia 76ers Future
Sep 9, 2025
After spending time in New York and Dallas, Quentin Grimes seemingly found a home in Philadelphia this past season, emerging through their injuries to be a bright spot. In 28 games played with the 76ers, Grimes averaged 22 points and 5 assists on 48% shooting, showing that he can be a key piece of this team's future.
However, he remains an RFA this off-season, as the two sides have been unable to come to terms on a long-term extension, with the qualifying offer remaining a possibility for the former first-round pick. Now, Grimes' social media activity may have hinted at his future, as he posted an intriguing photo on his story on Monday.
The post was a simple photo of him in his Sixers uniform on the court last season, and while he's done this before, many believe this is a hint that they're potentially making inroads towards a long-term extension. At 25-years of age, Grimes has the ability to be an elite 3-and-D role player for the Sixers, but after last season, he also showed that he can be much more than that for Philadelphia.

There's been no concrete reporting that the two are ready to get a long-term deal done, but clearly Grimes wants to stay in Philly, and this may be the latest indication that the team feel the same way. Ultimately, Grimes took a huge step forward last season, and while a long-term deal hasn't gotten done yet, if the team believe he can be that good again in 2025/26 and beyond, it shouldn't take too much longer.
