Kevin Love Reportedly Looking to Land in Los Angeles Next Season

Kevin Love has been one of the most consistent contributors in the NBA over the past decade, but in recent times, he's been relegated to a smaller role with the Miami Heat. Then, the team decided to include him in a trade with the Utah Jazz this off-season, landing the 36-year old on his fourth team heading into Year 18 in the NBA.

However, the overwhelming expectation around the league is that he won't begin the season with the Jazz, with many expecting him to be yet another of many players bought out by their team this summer. Now, NBA Insider Brett Siegel has revealed that Love is looking to force his way to LA or New York, but with little interest from the Knicks, Los Angeles appears to be his next home in the NBA.

“Word around the league surrounding Love is that he wants to end up in Los Angeles, sources said. There were some rumors that Love would want to go to New York, although there doesn't seem to be much interest brewing from the Knicks.”

While he's no longer the player he once was, scoring just 5 points a night in 23 games last season, Love is still a great veteran presence that can help build depth for a contender heading into 2025/26. It's unclear what level of interest either the Clippers or Lakers have in Love, but on a veteran minimum, he would be a fantastic depth addition for both teams as he looks to find success in the final years of his illustrious NBA career.
