NBA Insider Projects Josh Giddey To Sign A Three-Year Extension In Chicago

Josh Giddey has been a very intriguing talent since the moment he arrived in the NBA, with the talent to be a star but the limitations that have thus far held him back from reaching that level. Still, he's been a very productive player for Oklahoma City and Chicago in his young career, with the 22-year-old already having 280 NBA games under his belt.

Now, on the back of a career year with the Bulls, where he averaged 15, 7, and 8, he's up for a contract extension in Chicago. Thus far, things have not played out very well between the two sides, with a major gap in contract numbers reported between the two parties.

That may all be changing now, according to NBA Insider Brett Siegel, who is now reporting that the two parties could come together on a three-year deal before the 2025/26 season officially begins.

According to Siegel, the two sides are expected to get a deal done before the end of the month worth between $65 and $70 million over a three-year deal. Giddey originally came into the summer looking for a deal worth $30 million annually, but this deal would give him some stability for the coming years while also getting him well over $21 million per season.

At 22 years old, Giddey has a bright future ahead of him, making him 25 when his next deal comes around if this contract gets signed, so expect him to take this one and look to boost his stock even more over those coming three seasons.
