Golden State Warriors Reportedly Unwilling to Part With Two Key Roster Players in Trade Talks

The Golden State Warriors are one of just two teams in the NBA this offseason to not make a move, but so far, that hasn't stopped all of the speculation around the team. Most of that has involved Jonathan Kuminga, but now, more speculation and rumors have emerged, with the team reportedly unwilling to part with other key pieces, too.

In a recent report from Sam Amick of The Athletic, the reporter revealed that the team is also unwilling to deal either Moses Moody or Buddy Hield.

Their unwillingness to do so is reportedly an obstacle to the team potentially trading Kuminga, and with the Warriors standing on business so far, it appears as though none of the three will be moved this offseason. While this will mean the team made no major moves, it also means they keep their immense depth, something that has saved them over the past few seasons.

If the Warriors do not end up making a move, this is how their current roster and lineup will look heading into next season:

Starters: G Steph Curry, G Brandon Podziemski, F Moses Moody, F Jimmy Butler, C Draymond Green. Bench: G Buddy Hield, G/F Jonathan Kuminga, F Gui Santos, C Quentin Post.

As of right now, that doesn't look like an NBA Championship contender, making it highly understandable why the team may not want picks in exchange for Kuminga. Ultimately, though, something has to change, whether that's a team landing a lead guard for the bench unit, trading Kuminga, or making an off-the-wall deal, but as of right now, they have decided not to move Moody, Kuminga, or Hield ahead of 2025/26.
