NBA Players Name Who They Think is the Best NBA Golfer

NBA players are some of the greatest athletes in the world. Many of them were elite football or baseball players in their past. They all have the competitive drive to be great at anything they put their mind to. Unfortunately, for those who loved football or any other potentially dangerous sport, their career in that sport, even casually, probably ended with their first NBA contract. 

Most players have turned to other hobbies or outlets to get out their extra competitive fire. Video games, cards, or chess, it doesn’t matter; if there is a winner and a loser, NBA players will try their luck at dominance. One sport, however, that has been a favorite of NBA players for years is golf.

Michael Jordan famously golfed before NBA Finals games in the '90s. Now, there are always reports of teammates playing on off-days and even opponents playing when they are in town. Even Stephen Curry is playing semi-pro tournaments in the offseason. Golf is all around the league. 

So, when the NBA posted a video of different players naming who they thought the best golfer in the league was, many ears perked up. The answers were similar, but they were not unanimous. 

Many said it was Stephen Curry, widely known as an incredible golfer. The next most mentioned player was the Lakers’ Austin Reaves. Devin Booker, Zach LaVine, and Pat Connaughton were all mentioned as well. 

With the NBA All-Star weekend losing interest from players and fans alike, one has to think, is it time for an NBA player golf tournament? With the high skill level of some of these players and their competitive fire, it surely would be an entertaining watch.
