Chicago Bulls Reportedly Offer Josh Giddey Long-Term Deal Worth $20 Million a Year

The Chicago Bulls have been stuck in the play-in for several years now, and as a result, they've failed to build a team full of stars. However, they do have a few intriguing young talents in Coby White, Ayo Dosunmu and Josh Giddey, with the latter breaking out in his first season with the Bulls.

In 2024/25, Giddey posted 15 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists a game, and with an iconic winner over LeBron James, he established himself as a fan favourite in Chicago. Unfortunately though, Giddey entered the off-season without a long-term contract in hand, and as of right now, it hasn't seemed as though anything on that front was particularly close.

Now, a new report from K.C. Johnson has revealed the latest update in the situation, with the Bulls seemingly offering the talented young star a long-term extension at around $20 million per season.

Earlier this off-season, it was noted that Giddey was looking for a deal more in the $30 million range, and while the team weren't going to entertain that, the belief is that there was a middle ground somewhere.

For now though, the team are sticking solid with their $20 million a season offer, and while Johnson notes it's on a long-term extension, he doesn't reveal how many years the offer is for. Ultimately, Giddey is a star of the future in Chicago, and if they can't come to an agreement on a deal, there will be interest on the trade market, but for now, it's in the best interest of both parties to get a long-term deal done.
