Chicago Bulls Reportedly Increase their Contract Offer to Josh Giddey

Josh Giddey had a fantastic season in his first year with the Chicago Bulls in 2024/25, but this off-season, the two sides have failed to make any headway on a potential long-term extension. Reportedly, Giddey has been looking for a deal in the $30 million per season range, while the team would prefer something in the $20 million range, and they're yet to find a compromise.

The Bulls have made some offers to the young guard, but nothing that has interested him enough as of yet. However, that may be changing, as a recent report from Brett Siegel has revealed the team have upped their offer.

In his report, Siegel reveals that the team have now offered Giddey a four-year deal in the range of $85 to $90 million, making it an annual value of $22 million.

Not only that, but Siegel notes that this will be the Bulls final offer to Giddey this summer, with the team clearly willing to budge on their initial expectations. Last season, the 22-year old earned just $8 million in his final season on his rookie deal, so any upgrade will be a huge one, and after averaging 15, 8 & 7, it's easy to see why he wants an upgraded deal.

It's unclear if Giddey will take this deal or if he will opt for the Cam Thomas route of signing a qualifying offer to become a free agent next summer, but for now we know there's a concrete offer on the table for him to stay in Chicago long-term.
