Malik Beasley Evicted From Detroit Home As His Off-season Downfall Continues
Aug 8, 2025
Malik Beasley and the Detroit Pistons took a huge leap forward in 2024/25, pushing the New York Knicks to six games as they established themselves as a team to watch for the future. Unfortunately, it's been all downhill for Beasley since then, as he was part of an investigation shortly after the season for involvement in betting on the league.
According to reports, Beasley is suspected of gambling ties from his time with the Milwaukee Bucks back in 2021, and unfortunately for him, the news has gotten worse since then. Earlier this week, it was revealed that Beasley was evicted from his Detroit apartment, according to The Detroit News.
“He has been sued twice by the landlord this year for failing to pay a collective $21,500 in rent.”
The report states that Beasley has failed to pay a combined $21,500 in rent this year, and now, the official eviction comes as Beasley's downfall this offseason continues.

Currently a free agent, Beasley's future in the NBA is up in the air as well, and with the money problems mounting due to his eviction and the betting issues with the FBI, there's a good chance that he may never play in the NBA again as a result. This all comes on the back of a career year with the Pistons, but as we know from past examples with athletes, the fall can be just as hard and quick as the rise, and now, we wait to see what the future holds for Beasley amid all of this drama.
