Jaylen Brown Reacts To Lu Dort's Physical Play

The Oklahoma City Thunder have built up quite the reputation in recent years, and that reputation revolves around getting a very favorable whistle from the NBA officials. While it's Shai Gilgeous-Alexander that benefits most from this on the offensive end, it's the entire team on the defensive end that benefits, especially the physical defenders like Lu Dort, Alex Caruso and Cason Wallace among others.

There's no bigger benefactor however than Dort, who has been constantly criticized by NBA fans for being able to play a physical game that nobody else in the NBA could get away with. That was on full display in their recent matchup with the Boston Celtics, with the team coming up short 119-109 despite another MVP level performance from SGA.

Following the game, Celtics star Jaylen Brown took to a stream to discuss the game, and in doing so, he called out Dort for the physical play he put on during the heavyweight showdown.

“Bro smacked me upside the head like I’m one of his grandkids”

While Brown is one of the first players to clearly call out Dort this directly, given the bias that the officials clearly have towards OKC, there's no doubting that he's not even close to being along in these beliefs.

Ultimately, Brown won't be the last person to call out Dort for his play, and if he's allowed to continue to play like this, it's not the last time that he's going to continue getting away with acts such as this.
