Former Spurs Legend Tony Parker Reportedly Seeking A Role as an NBA Head Coach

Over his NBA career, Tony Parker established himself as one of the greatest point guards in league history with the San Antonio Spurs and a brief stint with the Charlotte Hornets. During that career, Parker managed to win four NBA titles, including the 2007 Finals MVP to go along with four All-NBA honours and six All-Star appearances, making him one of the most decorated players of this past generation.

Since retiring, we've heard very little about the French superstar, but now, there have been some major indications about his future. According to EuroHoopsNet, Parker is seeking a role as an NBA coach, and while it wasn't noted whether that was as a Head Coach or an assistant to work his way up, he's perfect for either role.

The now 43-year old was one of the last floor generals that we've seen in the NBA, and given the respect that he commands and the relationships he's got in the league, he'd be welcomed by many franchise's as a coach moving forward.

As of right now, it's highly unlikely that he'll find a job ahead of the 2025/26 season, with most coaching staff's currently locked in, but given the status he carries, there's a great chance that in the coming years, he'll be given the opportunity. For now though, Parker will continue on living the quiet life he's been having since retiring from the NBA, but with the interest now known around the league, it's a matter of when, not if he gets the call.
