NBA Insider Reveals Contract Demands Of Brooklyn Nets Star Cam Thomas

Cam Thomas is one of the most intriguing young players in the entire NBA, and while he's seen by some as a ball hog that has only produced on a losing team, the belief is that he can be a genuinely effective NBA player for a long time to come. That works well for his future financial benefits in the league, and according to a source within the Nets, he's demanding a massive pay increase on his next deal.

According to Brian Lewis of the New York Post, Thomas believes he's on the same level as players such as Immanuel Quickley, RJ Barrett, and Tyler Herro, all of whom make over $30 million per season in the league.

Unsurprisingly, that has led to the belief that Thomas could demand $30 million or more on his next deal, and given the Nets’ need for major talent, their hand may potentially be forced in negotiations.

This past season, Thomas had his most productive season in the NBA yet, averaging 24.0 points a night on 18.2 shots, shooting 44% from the field and 35% from beyond the arc, and at 23 years of age, he's still got an incredibly bright future in the NBA ahead of him.

Whether that future is with the Brooklyn Nets or elsewhere, we will likely know at some point before the end of the 2025–26 season, and whether you agree or not that he deserves $30 million a year or more on his next deal, all signs right now point to him standing firm in his demands from the organization.
