Two NBA Owners Reportedly Believe The 2025 NBA Draft Lottery Was Rigged

In the history of sports, there's been some immense conspiracy theories, and while none of them can ever be proven true, there's some very out there conspiracies. The most recent of those involved the trade of Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers, with the deal being so bad for then GM Nico Harrison and the Dallas Mavericks that fans believed there was something much bigger at play.

After giving up one of the biggest stars in the entire NBA, the Mavericks got very little in exchange, and then just a few months later, they somehow landed the No. 1 overall pick and generational star Cooper Flagg. That came despite just 1.8% odds to win the lottery, and unsurprisingly, many in and outside of the NBA looked at that and believed this was too good to be true.

Now, reporter Pablo Torre has revealed that there are at least two NBA owners that believe the 2025 NBA Draft Lottery was fixed in favor of the Mavericks so that they could land Flagg.

Early in his NBA career, Flagg has adapted to the NBA in a hurry, averaging 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists per game, and whether or not the lottery was rigged, the Mavericks have ended up with a star replacement to Doncic.

Ultimately, we'll never know whether or not there was something happening behind the scenes with this situation, but as of right now, we know that at least two owners believe something fishy is happening.
