Thunder Role Player Discusses Recent Losing Skid

The Oklahoma City Thunder are the best team in the NBA. They won the NBA championship last season, and this year they started the season looking like they were even better. In fact, the Thunder’s start to the season was so impressive that people thought they had the chance to break the record for the most regular-season wins in NBA history.

That dream ended just a month or so into the season. The Thunder are now 37–10, meaning they won’t match the Golden State Warriors' 73–9 record from 2016.

Still, the Thunder are the favorites to win it all. That’s why whenever they go on a bit of a losing streak, people take notice.

As of Tuesday, the Thunder have lost two straight games, and Aaron Wiggins spoke with reporters about the losing streak.

"The first aspect is just realizing you can’t get caught up in the moment or a small sample size of games that might not have gone your way. We're talking about two losses in a row, but we're 37–10… There's a lot of time that we have to get better. There's a lot of opportunity for us to continue to grow and learn from our losses and our wins."

Aaron Wiggins isn’t worried about the Thunder’s recent losing streak, and he shouldn’t be. These are the dog days of the NBA season. Tons of great teams are losing steam, and the Thunder aren’t immune to the effects of a long season.

In reality, the Thunder will get back on track. They are too good and too deep not to. Until the Thunder show a real stretch of struggles, they still have to be considered the team to beat for the NBA championship.
