Surprise Name Revealed To Replace Steph Curry In The 2026 NBA All-Star Game
Feb 11, 2026
The 2026 NBA All-Star Game is almost upon us, and while there was some backlash when the rosters were initially announced, both the West and East will be represented by plenty of stars. This season, the NBA has pivoted to a World vs. USA format similar to the NHL's Four Nations Face Off from 2025, with Adam Silver desperately hoping to reignite some passion in the event.
Unfortunately, some of the biggest names in the league are now set to miss the event due to injury, with reigning MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander already replaced by Alperen Sengun of the Houston Rockets. Now, Steph Curry has officially been ruled out of the event as well, and now, we know the intriguing player that has been called upon to replace the Golden State Warriors superstar.
According to all reports, it will be Brandon Ingram of the surprising Toronto Raptors that gets the call, with fans once again in an uproar that he was chosen over some very deserving names. In 2025/26, BI has averaged 22 points, 6 boards and 4 assists per game for a team that's sitting at 32-22 on the season, good for fifth place in the very competitive Eastern Conference.

Ultimately, there were other players that could represent the USA that have put together some very good campaigns in 2025/26, but with Ingram being a consistent force on the floor for Toronto, this was a well deserved selection for the talented forward.
