RJ Barrett's Camp Reportedly Expecting Him to be Involved In Trade Talks Moving Forward

RJ Barrett was traded to the Toronto Raptors from the New York Knicks, and since arriving, he's taken his game in the NBA to another level. In his 90 games played since joining his home town team, Barrett has averaged 21 points in 32 minutes played, becoming a critical part of the Raptors future.

However, the organization may not see things the same way, as they are now loaded with shooting guards and small forward's since the arrival of Brandon Ingram. This has led to some fans speculating over the future of Barrett, and reportedly, his team are aware that things in Toronto could change moving forward.

According to Jake Fischer, the representation of Barrett is well aware that in the coming months, there will likely be plenty of trade speculation involving their client, despite his solid production. Whether or not Toronto are pushing to move the talented young star or not, only time will tell, but with the change at the top of the organization, there's a chance that Barrett could be moved ahead of the 2026 trade deadline.

At 25-years of age, Barrett already has six seasons of NBA play under his belt averaging 19 points a game in that time, and while he's not taken the superstar leap, he's a very valuable player in the modern NBA. Now, only time will tell whether or not his future remains in Toronto or if he'll be moved, but regardless, there's expected to be plenty of trade speculation surrounding the former No. 3 overall pick this season.
