Jusuf Nurkic Continues To Call Out Giannis Antetokounmpo With Bizarre Comments

Ahead of the Greece vs. Bosnia & Herzegovina matchup, Utah Jazz centre Jusuf Nurkic called out Giannis Antetokounmpo for his weaknesses. Sure, everyone has weaknesses, but given the gulf in talent between the two players, people in the basketball world questioned why Nurkic would make such comments.

The two teams would matchup recently, but without Antetokounmpo, with Bosnia and Herzegovina coming out on top in a tight 80-77 clash. After the game, Nurkic was asked about the two-time NBA MVP's absence, to which he made yet another ridiculous comment.

“It didn't change a lot.”

It's unclear exactly why Nurkic has made it his mission to call out Antetokounmpo at EuroBasket, but it's not a good look, as even without the star, he managed just 18 points in the game. Sure, that's not a bad performance, but given how he's been talking to a two-time NBA MVP, he should be able to do much more to back it up when the whistle blows.

Sure, there's plenty of fun trash talk to be had on the court, but Nurkic has been called out by many players in his NBA career for doing way more talking than he is able to back up. Clearly that hasn't changed, as the veteran continues to bounce around the NBA, and while he got lucky to see Greece without Antetokounmpo in this one, when the two matchup next in the NBA, you can bet the Bucks star will be out to make a statement.
