NBA Insider Reveals The Latest On Steph Curry's Injury Situation
Feb 27, 2026
The Golden State Warriors entered the 2025/26 season with very high hopes, but unfortunately, this is a team that's been incredibly unlucky with injuries thus far. Not only did they lose Jimmy Butler for the season, but Steph Curry has missed 20 of the Warriors 59 games this season, last appearing in a game for the team back in January.
In that time, Curry has averaged an impressive 27 points a game along with 5 assists, but with all of these injuries, the team are now in eighth in the Western Conference standings with a record of 31-28. While there's still time for them to turn things around, Curry isn't looking to return anytime soon, with NBA Insider Marc Spears giving the latest update on No. 30.
"Around All-Star Weekend, [Steph] had a setback. He was trying to get back and it pushed him back. I'm not sure when he'll be back but I do know that he wants to come back...He wants the chance to be in the playoffs."
According to Spears, Curry had a setback around the All-Star break, and while he still has hopes of returning this season to help the Warriors in the NBA Playoffs, if he's out much longer, this team may struggle to hold onto a post-season spot in the West.

Ultimately, even with Curry, this Warriors team don't match up to the likes of Denver, Oklahoma City and Houston, but if they get their superstar point guard back, anything can happen in the NBA Playoffs.
