Kevin Durant Becomes First Player To Achieve Massive Feat With Five Different Teams

From the moment he entered the NBA, Kevin Durant separated himself as one of the best scorers in the entire league, and over the next two decades, he's continued to prove it, year in, year out. Despite not sticking it out in one place for very long, Durant has shown that he is arguably the greatest scorer in league history, and even at 37-years of age, that hasn't changed.

In 2025/26, Durant is averaging 26 points to go along with 5 rebounds and 5 assists per game, with the Rockets currently sitting in third place in the Western Conference standings. On Thursday against the Orlando Magic, Durant poured in a season-high 40 points, and in the process, he made NBA history.

With that 40-piece, Durant has now scored 40 with OKC/Seattle, Golden State, Brooklyn, Phoenix and Houston, becoming the first player in league history to score at least 40 for five different NBA franchises. Across his career, Durant has now appeared in 1,178 regular season games, and in that time he's averaging 27 PPG on 50% shooting from the floor, and given everything else that he brings, there's no denying that he's an all-time great in the league.

Ultimately, we'll see where Durant ends his career in all-time lists, but after this latest feat, there's absolutely no way anyone can deny KD as arguably the greatest scorer in league history, as he's done it consistently for two decades now, with the 37-year old still getting it done.
