NBA Hand Down Suspensions For Recent Hornets-Pistons Fight
Feb 11, 2026
The NBA has been full of incredible storylines throughout the 2025/26 regular season, and as of late, there's been many moments to capture the attention of NBA fans worldwide. One of the biggest we've seen was the brawl between the Charlotte Hornets and the Detroit Pistons, with things breaking into a melee as players on both sides were involved.
Detroit would go on to win the game, but unsurprisingly, there has been consequences for everyone involved, with the NBA now officially handing down the punishment for the four main players in the brawl, two from each squad.
According to reports, Miles Bridges and Moussa Diabate of the Hornets have each been given four game suspensions, with neither having a major history (on the floor) of poor play and situations like this one. On the other hand, Isaiah Stewart is no stranger to the NBA for actions like this on the court, as he's been given a seven game suspension, while teammate Jalen Duren has been given just two games.

On paper, these are some very fair suspensions, and while many believed Stewart would get more games given his history, this was fair discipline from the NBA without going too far and overreacting to the situation. Ultimately, this isn't something the NBA wants to become a norm, but given the passion and the fire we saw from these players, it's something that definitely got the fans talking, but now they've been punished for it.
