Miami Heat Linked To Former Knicks Forward Precious Achiuwa

The NBA off-season has been a busy one thus far, and while most of the big names have found new homes, there are certainly some interesting names still available as free agents. One of those names is former New York Knicks forward Precious Achiuwa, who showed plenty of potential with the team after arriving as a part of the OG Anunoby trade from Toronto.

In his two seasons with the Knicks, Achuiwa played in 106 games, averaging 7 points and 6 rebounds in that time while becoming a valuable piece of their rotation. However, it was with the Miami Heat that Achuiwa began his NBA career, and now, it appears the team are once again interested in the 25-year old.

Achuiwa was the No. 20 overall pick of the Heat back in the 2020 NBA Draft, but after playing just 61 games with the team, he was moved on. Now, he's proven that he can be a genuine role player in the NBA, and with the team trading Haywood Highsmith earlier this off-season, there's likely a role for Achiuwa to be had off the Heat bench this upcoming season if he's interested.

He is still a limited player, with an inconsistent jump shot and low end skills, but with a high motor and determination, especially on the boards, Achuiwa has become a very solid player. If not the Heat, there's been little talk about him around the league this off-season, so if the interest is genuine, don't be surprised to see a reunion with the former first-round pick.
