Clippers' Bogdan Bogdanovic Returns to North America For Rehab After Injury At EuroBasket

The Los Angeles Clippers had a big off-season in 2025, and with the regular season just a matter of weeks away, excitement is building for this team. Not only do they have stars, but they've also got great depth, and if healthy, they are expected to compete in the incredibly competitive Western Conference.

Over the weekend however, the team had a major health scare involving Bogdan Bogdanovic, who is currently competing for Serbia at the EuroBasket tournament. Unfortunately, during play he sustained an injury, and now, he has returned to North America to commence rehab on his injury.

According to reports, that injury was a ruptured hamstring muscle, and given how important he is to the Clippers rotation, it makes sense that the team want to be cautious with him. That means he will take no further part in the EuroBasket tournament, which is a very tough blow given that he was Serbia's captain for the beginning stages.

In 30 games with the Clippers last year, Bogdanovic averaged 11.4 points a night on 42% shooting from three, and with a key bench role lined up for him in 2025/26, he's one of the most important pieces for their NBA title hopes this season. With the injury history of Kawhi Leonard and James Harden, it makes health all the more important heading into the new season, and if the team can have Bogdanovic at 100% by their home opener on October 22, there's no reason why this team can't compete in the West.
