Warriors Could Target 6’11” Two-Time All-Star Center On Trade Market
Sep 25, 2025
The Golden State Warriors need some size. They were one of the smallest teams in the league last year, and with a disappointing offseason so far, they need to make some moves. That’s why many are turning to Warriors trade rumors for hope at the center position.
The Warriors still don’t really have a starting center for next season. The coaching staff doesn’t want to play Draymond Green big minutes at the five, and Quinten Post isn’t quite ready for that responsibility. Once the Jonathan Kuminga contract negotiations are done, many expect the Warriors to sign Al Horford.

However, a new NBA trade rumor means the Warriors could target another veteran former star center.
Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report reported that the Philadelphia 76ers are looking to trade Andre Drummond sooner rather than later. Could the Warriors be one of the teams interested in a Drummond trade?
They should definitely consider bringing him in as a backup center. He can’t shoulder the load Horford could as a full-time starter, but Drummond has been an effective center off the bench in recent seasons. The Warriors could use his size and rebounding in more ways than one.
The question is whether they can make it work with the salary apron rules. The limitations the Warriors have on trades because of the apron rules make almost any kind of Warriors trade difficult.
