Giannis' EuroBasket Play Proves Bucks Could Win East

The NBA’s Eastern Conference is wide open. With Jayson Tatum and Tyrese Haliburton out for at least most of next season, arguably the two best teams in the conference are without their best player. That means a new team will have an opportunity to snag the Eastern Conference title.

Of course, the New York Knicks will be one of the top teams trying to take the mantle. The Cleveland Cavaliers will be right there too. Both of those teams could have easily made the NBA Finals last season if a few things had broken differently. Even the Orlando Magic are being considered as a hot young team that could take a huge step next season.

One team that was an Eastern powerhouse but has kind of fallen out of the conversation is the Milwaukee Bucks. They also lost a star last year, and many don’t believe they have the talent ot compete at the top of the East.

However, there is one player dominating EuroBasket who wants to prove that he doesn’t require much help to win important basketball games.

That player is Greece’s Giannis Antetokounmpo. Giannis has been dominating EuroBasket and looks as good as ever. On Sunday, he dropped 37 points and 10 rebounds, shooting an insane 18-of-23 from the field. That’s some Giannis-MVP level play.

If Giannis can put together another MVP season for the Bucks, could they win the East? It may be difficult to get through some of the deeper, more well-rounded teams. Still, with Giannis playing basketball at a level like he is in EuroBasket right now he probably could carry the current Bucks roster on a legendary playoff run.
