2020 NBA Champion Talen Horton-Tucker Reportedly Heading Overseas

Once upon a time, Talen Horton-Tucker was seen as a genuine piece of the future for the Los Angeles Lakers, but things haven't exactly gone to plan. Since being traded by the Lakers, Horton-Tucker has played in Utah and Chicago, appearing in 305 games thus far throughout his six year NBA career.

Last season, THT played 13 minutes a night off the bench for the Chicago Bulls in 58 games, and in that time, he averaged a solid 7/2/1 for a less than stellar Bulls team. This summer, the 24-year old became a free agent, with many expecting him to get another short term deal to try and prove himself in the NBA.

While many believe he has a future in the NBA, the former second-round pick is now heading overseas, as a report has now revealed he is joining Fenerbahçe Istanbul in Turkey.

At 24-years of age, the former second-round pick has averaged a very solid 9 points per game in his career, with his high coming back in 2022/23 when he put up 11 a night with the Utah Jazz. With great size at 6-foot-4 and the ability to play either guard position, many believed that he'd be a steady role player in the NBA, but to this point, he's simply struggled to show it consistently.

Given that he's still young, there's always a chance that Horton-Tucker will be back in the NBA someday, but for right now he's heading to Turkey, and if he can find himself there, he's got a good chance to reinvent his game and return a success.
