LeBron James Makes More NBA History Following Lakers Latest Win
Apr 1, 2026
For well over two decades, LeBron James has been at the top of his game in the NBA, and whether it be for Cleveland, Miami or Los Angeles, he's always established himself as a top tier player in the league, with 2025/26 being no different for 'The King'. In recent years, his game has taken a step backwards, but with natural athleticism and such a high IQ, he's managed to remain very effective despite the fact that he's now into his 40's.
Given his longevity, we've seen him make plenty of history during his Lakers tenure, as he's not only become the greatest scorer in league history, but also became the player with the most games played in NBA history. Now, he's made more history with the Lakers latest win, regular season win No. 1,229 of his career, as he officially passes Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the NBA's most winingest player in history.
While he's not the player he once was, James has continued to play at a very high level, and given the ability of players around him such as Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves, there should be plenty more wins remaining in his iconic NBA career.

Whether James is the NBA's G.O.A.T. will always be up for debate, but at this point, there's no denying just how impressive his longevity is, and even at 41-years of age, he appears ready to play on, meaning that more NBA records could fall in the years to come.
