Jaden Ivey Reveals His Family's Concerns With His Recent Meltdown
Apr 1, 2026
Much of the NBA world has been watching Jaden Ivey’s recent online unraveling. Over the last few weeks, Ivey has gone online, promoting his extreme religious views and calling out everyone.
After Ivey said, “The world proclaims LGBTQ, right? They proclaim Pride Month, and the NBA does, too. They show it to the world. They say, 'Come join us for Pride Month to celebrate unrighteousness.' They proclaim it on the billboards. They proclaim it on the streets. Unrighteousness,” the Bulls released him for “conduct detrimental to the team.”
Losing out on millions of dollars and a job hasn’t stopped Ivey from talking. He has continued to go online, spouting his controversial beliefs to anyone who will listen.

Ivey even mentioned that his family has been worried about his recent behavior.
“Those who are around me, those who are my family members betraying me because of what I spoke. The truth. Betraying me. Saying that I’m losing my mind. Saying that I’m crazy. Saying that I don’t know the truth.”
No matter what Ivey believes to be true, his online comments and the energy of his videos seem to indicate that something is wrong. We haven’t seen Ivey ever act in this way, and now it looks like he is determined to throw his career away in the name of hardcore Christianity. What’s most sad about this situation is that even Ivey’s family isn’t on his side. While Ivey is slipping deeper and deeper into whatever hole he is digging himself, his family, like the rest of the NBA world, is questioning what the hell he is doing.
Hopefully, Ivey can get himself under control before the start of next season and find a new basketball home.
