Indiana Pacers Star Set To Miss The Remainder Of The 2025/26 Regular Season
Mar 20, 2026
The Indiana Pacers came into the 2025/26 without their biggest star after Tyrese Haliburton suffered an injury in Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals. That on top of losing Myles Turner in free agency led many to expect them to struggle this season, and they've done exactly that, as they currently sit at 15-55, putting them in dead last in the standings in the Eastern Conference.
They made some interesting moves at the trade deadline as well, but perhaps the biggest of all was adding Ivica Zubac as Turner's replacement, and with Haliburton back for 2026/27, there's optimism that this team can be a true contender once again. Unfortunately, the former Clippers big man has now gone down with an injury, and according to reports, he will now officially miss the remainder of the regular season for the Pacers.
Since arriving in Indiana, Zubac has averaged 12 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists per game, and while he's not accustomed to being a No. 1 or 2 option, he competed very hard for this struggling team. Last season, Zubac had a career year with the Clippers, posting 17 points, 13 boards and 3 assists, and if the Pacers get that player next season, their fans will once again be very excited.

Ultimately, if this team can land a top pick, get Haliburton and Zubac back to 100%, they'll be a threat again next season, but for now, it's hard to understate just how bad things have gone for them in 2025/26.
