Giannis May Have Almost Fired His Agent For Not Getting Him Traded

The Giannis Antetokounmpo trade rumors are getting as loud as they’ve ever been. With the Milwaukee Bucks struggling to compete even in the weaker Eastern Conference, people are wondering if Giannis is going to request a trade out of Milwaukee.

Recently, a new piece of Giannis news may shed light on the chances that Giannis gets traded sometime this season or offseason.

Henry Abbott of TrueHoop reported that, “Last week, someone very well placed in the business told me something alarming about Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo. Giannis is generally seen as a good guy, a thoughtful guy, one of the truly nice and kind people in the NBA sphere. He has had one team and one agent since he was drafted as a teenager in 2013. So it was alarming to hear a story of real drama, that Giannis was close to firing his longtime agent Alex Saratsis over his failure to get Giannis traded from the Bucks.”

If this report is true, Giannis already wanted to leave the Bucks. That’s what has been so frustrating about the Giannis trade situation. Giannis won’t admit that he wants to leave the Bucks, and until he does, the Bucks aren’t going to look for trade partners.

It must be frustrating for the Bucks. Giannis is making statements that he will “never request a trade.” However, it sounds like behind the scenes, he is trying to leave.

If Giannis could just be truthful about his intentions, the Bucks and Giannis could probably find a solution much more quickly. But if he continues to say one thing to the media and his teammates and another to his agent, the drama will surely continue.
