Eastern Conference Team Revealed As Prime Contender To Land Ivica Zubac
Feb 5, 2026
The NBA trade deadline is just a matter of hours away, and thus far, we've already seen some blockbuster deals that could change the NBA Playoffs race in both conferences for the remainder of the season. While we've seen some big deals, there could still be more yet to come, with many people around the league keeping an eye on the Los Angeles Clippers as a potential seller over the next few hours.
The team have already dealt James Harden, and now, the most likely player to be moved is big man Ivica Zubac, who has been in the midst of speculation all season long. As of right now, we know the team have a major asking price for teams looking to acquire the star big man, and now, we know the 'prime' contender to land the talented center.
According to Jake Fischer, the Indiana Pacers are emerging as a top suitor for Zubac, and after losing Myles Turner in free agency this past summer, he could be the perfect replacement, especially for when this team gets healthy and back into contention. This season, Zubac is putting up 14 points and 11 rebounds per game, and while he has a different style to Turner, he'd be a great fit with the deep core that's emerged in Indiana.

Ultimately, whether Zubac is moved at the deadline or in the summer, it's likely the Clippers want to deal him, and if the Pacers believe he can be a third star for this team, it makes perfect sense for both parties.
