Chicago Bulls Struggling To Get Their Desired Return For Coby White
Feb 2, 2026
The Chicago Bulls have been a highly competitive team for much of the 2025–26 campaign, and while they're sitting in ninth place in the Eastern Conference, this is a team set up to be sellers at the trade deadline. With the arrival of Josh Giddey, the team has seemingly found its star of the future, and according to all reports, they're ready to make him the leader of the backcourt and the leader of the team.
That's led to plenty of interest in talented 25-year-old guard Coby White, who has drawn trade intrigue from several contending teams in the Western Conference. However, it appears as though the Bulls have yet to have their asking price met, as the team is yet to reportedly get the first-round pick they're asking for in exchange for White.
In 28 games this season, White is averaging a fantastic 19 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists, but with Giddey taking over, it appears as though he's now expendable. What's unclear as of right now is how aggressively the team is looking to shop him, but if they really want to move him, there should be teams interested enough ahead of the deadline to get some deal done.

Ultimately, this is a player that could help a contending team in a big way this season, and while Chicago may not have their asking price met, if they get a significant offer, don't be shocked to see White dealt in the next few days.
