Bam Adebayo Addresses The Miami Heat Constantly Being In The Play-In

Over the past 25 years, the Miami Heat have been one of the NBA's most successful teams led by Erik Spoelstra and a star-studded cast that includes Shaquille O'Neal, Dwyane Wade, LeBron James and Jimmy Butler. However, in recent years, this is a team that's struggled mightily in the regular season, as they've been in the play-in for a number of years now, despite pushing their way to the NBA Finals back in 2023.

While they're still a team that can't be taken lightly, their struggles in the regular season have become apparent, with the hot-seat getting hotter for some in Miami. Now, star big man Bam Adebayo has addressed these struggles, stating in a recent interview that he's sick of being in the play-in (as the Heat sit in 8th place in the Eastern Conference).

“I don’t wanna be in this sh*t no more. We’re better than being in the play-in in the last 4 years.”

While playoff performances may suggest the Heat are better than the play-in, if they stay where they are right now, that's four straight seasons of being there, so until they can prove they're better than finishing 7th-10th in the East, they aren't better than that.

Ultimately, this is still a Heat team that could make some noise when the NBA Playoffs arrive, but until they can string together a good regular season, this is a team that appears destined to remain in the play-in for some time.
