Iman Shumpert Names This Hall of Famer as Better Than James Harden

There have been some amazing shooting guards to come through the NBA in the last few years. Two of the best have been James Harden and Dwayne Wade. While both are for sure first ballot Hall of Famers, who is actually better between the two has been a source of debate.

Iman Shumpert went on Club Shay Shay with Shannon Sharpe and revealed who he believes is better between James Harden and Dwayne Wade.

“Who better? D Wade. It’s a preference for me. D Wade was a different type of animal. One of my favorite guys growing up. Some of the movements he did, I think like that… I done see so much D Wade film. A lot of James Harden whole sh*t is shooting 3s. That goes against everything I believe in. Being from Chicago if you lost because of shooting 3s people say ‘we ain’t gonna see him play, he ain’t got no will to win.’ James one of top scorers to ever do this but if you show me a guy that drives and get it out the mud, I want to watch him. Plus D Wade a champion."

Comparing the two is difficult. Wade’s peak was great; he won three NBA championships and has a Finals MVP to his name. Harden has the longevity, league MVP, and counting stats on his side. And who knows, if it wasn’t for the Warriors’ dynasty, he may have a championship or two as well.

So who is better is hard to say, they had such different careers. What we do know is at least one guy, who used to play with Dwayne Wade, thinks Wade is better than Harden.
