Could the Warriors Use Their WNBA Affiliate to Land a Big NBA Star?

The Golden State Warriors are going to have to get desperate pretty soon. Stephen Curry’s career is slowly ending before their eyes, and they haven’t surrounded him with enough talent to compete for an NBA title. Especially with Jimmy Butler out with an ACL tear, the Warriors are going to have to do something if they don’t want to waste the end of Curry’s career.
They tried to fix everything by trading for Giannis Antetokounmpo, but that was a failure. They will likely try that again this summer but won’t have much luck.

To land a big star in the Golden State, the Warriors might have to get creative. One NBA insider believes the Warriors may try to lure another star Eastern Conference big man through very unorthodox means.
Brett Siegel reported, “Adebayo is a player the Warriors have been interested in over the last year, and he still holds a strong relationship with Butler…A'ja Wilson, a four-time WNBA MVP, will be a key free agent target for Lacob and the Valkyries, sources said. Why would this matter for the Warriors? Well, Wilson and Adebayo have been together for years. These two becoming the faces of both Golden State franchises is certainly something to monitor.”
It makes sense that Adebayo and Wilson would like to play in the same city. However, the chances that the Warriors and the Valkyries can land each of them are highly unlikely. Still, desperate times call for desperate measures. The Warriors need to do whatever they can to grab some more talent, and this unorthodox way could actually work.
