Cade Cunningham Return Officially Revealed By The Detroit Pistons

This season has been one for the ages in Detroit, and with the Pistons back to the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference, many see them as a genuine NBA Championship threat in 2025/26. With depth, star power and elite level play on both sides of the ball, the team are clearly the top team in the East, and if they can step up in the post-season, there are few teams that can match up with them.

However, one major issue looming over this team is the absence of superstar point guard Cade Cunningham, who has been out for the past three weeks with a collapsed lung. There was optimism that he could return ahead of the post-season in 2026, and now, the Pistons have gotten a major boost with several games to go before the NBA Playoffs officially begin.

According to Vince Goodwill of Yahoo Sports, Cunningham is set to return on Wednesday as the Pistons take on the Milwaukee Bucks, their superstar guard's first game since March 17th.

Before his injury, Cunningham was averaging an impressive 25 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists per game, with many around the NBA expecting him to get votes for All-NBA as well as MVP given Detroit's success. Obviously, all that matters to this team right now is their chase for an NBA Championship, and whether or not they find success in that goal, having the former No. 1 overall pick back will no doubt help.
