Victor Oladipo Expresses His Desire To Return to the NBA
Oct 10, 2025
Victor Oladipo had some great success in the NBA, but throughout his career, injuries were simply too much of a factor. That's led to the veteran guard being out of the league for the past two seasons, with his last action coming in 2022/23 with the Miami Heat.
However, at 33 years of age, Oladipo clearly still believes he can contribute to an NBA roster, especially after putting on a show against NBA teams recently in the preseason. Now, he has made his stance clear on his NBA future, revealing that he doesn't feel 33 yet and can still get it done at the highest level.
“I don't believe in age, bro… I know the world might tell me I'm 33, but I don't feel 33… If we was in a practice gym or in the back of a dump truck, it don't matter. As long as there's a rectangle and people there competing, I'm going to play at the highest level I can. The NBA is where I'm supposed to be at. And if the opportunity presents itself, I'm going to be ready. I've been ready, if I'm being honest.”
As of right now, there are plenty of other players without NBA homes heading into the new year, such as Malik Beasley, Russell Westbrook, and Ben Simmons, so there's plenty of talent out there beyond Oladipo. Ultimately, though, he remains a very solid player, and while he may not be a starter in the league anymore, off the bench, there are many teams out there that could consider signing the 33-year-old.
