Russell Westbrook May Have A Massive Deal Lined Up in China If He Doesn't Find an NBA Team

Russell Westbrook will go down as one of the greatest point guards and players of this past generation, but as his career winds down, so do the opportunities around the NBA. After a solid season off the bench with the Denver Nuggets, many expected Westbrook to land a new role this summer, but with the new season just a matter of days away, he's yet to find a new home in free agency.

Unfortunately, this may mean the end of his NBA career. While there are teams that could bring him in if and when injuries strike, as of right now, it's not looking good. However, there could be interest overseas, as it has been reported that a team in China is willing to offer 4 times what Westbrook would get if he took a veteran minimum in the NBA.

“I heard something from someone I trust enough not to blow off what they said: he may have an offer in China for about half a season—and it's damn near quadruple what the Kings could offer him.”

That team in China has not been named as of now, but given how the game is growing over there, they are not to be taken lightly, as they could certainly steal away some big-name NBA veterans. It's unclear whether Westbrook would want to consider an overseas offer given all the money he's already earned in his career, but if he wants to play on, this isn't a potential deal fans should overlook.
