NBA Reporter Reveals Massive Pay Day Coming For Denver Nuggets Young Guard Christian Braun

While Nikola Jokic has been the best player in the NBA for a number of years now, his supporting cast has never been one of the best, with the organization taking criticism for failing to put a great team around the multiple-time MVP. However, this offseason, things turned around with the additions of Bruce Brown and Cam Johnson, all joining a lineup that features Jamal Murray, Jokic, Aaron Gordon, and Christian Braun.

The latter of which is one of the more underrated players in the entire NBA, with the 24-year-old having a career year in 2024/25, his third season in the league. In 79 games played, Braun averaged 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists, and is quickly becoming one of Jokic's best teammates.

He's going to be up for a major extension soon, and according to Jake Fischer, the low end of Braun's new deal will come in around $25 million, with some believing his deal could go as high as $30 million per season.

“Rookie scale extension discussions around the league continue to feature various players pursuing deals with an annual average value of $30 million in advance of the Oct. 20 deadline for first-round picks from the 2022 NBA Draft to sign extensions. Among them is Denver Nuggets guard Christian Braun, with the low end of Braun's range on a new deal believed to be in the $25 million ballpark, according to league sources.”

With so much potential, Braun could cash in over the next few years, and if he can play a role in a deep NBA playoffs run alongside Jokic in Denver, this could end up making him one of the best role players in the NBA.
