Warriors Injury News: Curry Still Not Ready to Play

The Golden State Warriors have had terrible injury luck this season. It seems like the only time that the Warriors were fully healthy was the couple of weeks leading up to the Jimmy Butler ACL tear. Since then, things haven’t gotten any better. Stephen Curry has been out for weeks with a lingering knee issue, Moses Moody is dealing with wrist injuries, and it seems like every other day, another Warriors role player is on the injury report.

All the Warriors' hope hinges on Stephen Curry’s ability to recover from this knee injury. Even with him, the Warriors probably aren’t good enough to make a deep playoff run. However, without him, they may not even make the playoffs at all.

That’s why this recent Curry injury update has some Warriors fans worried.

Shams Charania of ESPN reported, “Golden State's Stephen Curry will miss another 10 days with his ailing knee, stretching his absence to five more games and a total of 20 consecutive, sources tell me and @anthonyVslater. Curry has started on-court work and is aiming to intensify his workouts.”

The Warriors are going to have to continue to try to tread water without a life raft. Curry isn’t coming to save them any time soon, and that is really concerning. The Warriors are 3-7 in their last 10 games and have recently lost to tanking teams like the Utah Jazz and Chicago Bulls. The Warriors are going to need to turn things around or they’re at risk of missing the playoffs completely.

If the Warriors can hang on over the next 10+ days, Curry could come and save them. But with the Warriors' season already essentially over (this was sealed when Butler went down), would it be better for them to just sit Curry and tank?
