Kawhi Leonard Set To Miss Several Games For The Struggling Clippers Due To Injury

The Los Angeles Clippers are off to a rough start in 2025/26, and after a summer that built up the hype around this team, they are just 3-6 through their first nine games played. Unfortunately, it appears as though age is catching up with them already, as the veteran core of James Harden, Chris Paul and Bradley Beal in the back court have not been at their very best early in the season.

On top of that, injuries have of course played a role with this organization, and now, things are getting worse as the team attempt to turn this slow start around. According to reports from ESPN, Kawhi Leonard, who has already missed three of the team's first nine games is set to miss a few games moving forward with an ankle injury, and given his history, this is the last thing this team needed.

In six games this season, Leonard has been at his best once more however, posting 24 points, 6 boards and 4 assists per game, but as of right now, the team just hasn't started clicking yet.

As of right now, it's unclear just how severe the ankle injury is for Leonard, but given how tough the Western Conference is, this is a team that needs to start turning things around early if they are to truly contend this season. With plenty of experience, they've got the roster to be able to do just that, but with Leonard now set to miss some time, the task becomes even harder for this squad moving forward.
