Victor Oladipo Takes Major Step Towards An NBA Return
Nov 10, 2025
Back in the 2013 NBA Draft, Victor Oladipo was drafted No. 2 overall, and in the time since then, he's been through plenty of ups and downs in the league with injuries and inconsistency. However, he has not appeared in a game since 2022/23 with the Miami Heat, with many fans believing that he had played his last game in the league.
Then, came pre-season in 2025, with Oladipo appearing for the Guangzhou Loong-Lions in a matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves, as he impressed with 14 points in that game. That brought plenty of attention back onto the 33-year old, as he revealed his NBA dream wasn't over yet, and now he's taken a major step towards a return.
Over the weekend, Oladipo made one major step towards a shot at the NBA, as he officially signed with the Milwaukee Bucks G-League affiliate.
At 33-years of age, there's still plenty of time for Oladipo to make his way back to the league, but with so many rosters in the NBA stacked with young, hungry talent, it's not a given that he'll get a shock in the league once again.

The last time we saw Oladipo in the NBA, he was being carted off the floor with yet another injury, but given that he was averaging 11 points a night before then, he can clearly still help a team. Only time will tell whether or not the Bucks or another team decide Oladipo is the type of player they need on their roster in 2025/26, but given his perseverance, it's hard not to cheer for him to make a return at some point.
