Here's How Steph Curry Reacted When He Saw Jimmy Butler's New Hair

After a solid start to the season, the Golden State Warriors have run into some tough times as of late. This, however, didn’t stop their top star from having a much-needed laughing fit.

Steph Curry has a fun-loving personality, but even he couldn’t handle the sight of Jimmy Butler sporting a new hairstyle.

Curry may be one of the best-conditioned athletes in the NBA, but he bent down and nearly lost his breath when he spotted Butler’s long, silky-smooth extensions. Butler himself was overcome with laughter as he sat in the stylist’s chair.

Both Curry and Butler need a belly laugh or two as they help the Warriors navigate another topsy-turvy season. Since Halloween, the team has followed a pattern of dropping two straight games, bouncing back with a win, then tasting defeat again.

This past Sunday, Golden State overcame the hapless Indiana Pacers, 114–83. In that game, Butler had a near triple-double performance with 21 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists. Despite going just 1-for-4 from the free-throw line, where he usually feasts, Butler shot an efficient 10-for-15 from the field.

By all indications, the six-time All-Star is still in a happy place when it comes to his stint with the Warriors. On more than one occasion in his career, Butler’s relationship with his team went downhill, leading to a widely publicized split. This past April, he did say that he got his “joy” back—a reference to an infamous interview three months earlier when he stated that he was no longer happy with the Miami Heat.

Butler’s dynamic with the Warriors remains as strong as ever, particularly in terms of his relationship with their franchise player. Curry, however, has not been 100% over the past few days, as he has battled an illness that sidelined him for three straight games.

If laughter is the best medicine, Butler has come to Curry’s rescue with his fresh, flowing hairdo. This bodes well for the Warriors, who will need both Curry and Butler to be available if they are to break their current pattern.

Their next two games are against the league-leading Oklahoma City Thunder and the Victor Wembanyama-led San Antonio Spurs. If Golden State wants to avoid another two-game skid, their version of Batman and Robin will have to come through. After a win or two, perhaps they can share another moment of laughter.
