Players Who Will Step Up With Jalen Green's Hamstring Injury
Nov 10, 2025
The Phoenix Suns faced a major blow this weekend. Jalen Green, their new secondary star, whom they've decided to pair with Devin Booker, is going to be out for at least a month. Because this is a second aggravation of the same injury, people believe Green might be out for four to six weeks. Here are two players to look at for increased roles with Green out of the lineup.
Dillon Brooks
Dillon Brooks has also been dealing with injury issues of his own this season. After a solid first few games, he missed the next seven with a groin injury. Now he is back and ready to pick up whatever slack he needs to because that’s what a Swiss Army knife does.

In Brooks' first game back, he put up only six shots but scored 16 points and had three assists, two rebounds, and two steals. However, before he went down, Brooks was taking nearly 20 shots a game, being a primary piece in the Suns’ offense. With Green out, expect Brooks to keep shooting and taking a bigger role in the offense.
Ryan Dunn
Dunn’s role this season has been up and down. He’s averaging 24.4 minutes per game while scoring 9.6 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.7 assists. While offensively, he hasn’t been all that impressive, defensively, Dunn has shown a lot of promise. He is averaging two stocks per game (1.1 steals, .9 blocks).
With Green out, the Suns may need to focus more on defense than offense. If that’s the case, expect Dunn to keep up his work on that end of the floor and see an expanded role because of it.
