The 'Next Victor Wenbanyama' Promoted to Top Level FC Barcelona In Europe at 13

In recent times, countries outside of the United States have been producing some of the best NBA players, with the likes of Nikola Jokic, Joel Embiid, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander dominating the MVP Award. With Victor Wembanyama, Luka Doncic, and others landing in the NBA from Europe in recent times, that dominance could continue, and now the next generational prospect has seemingly emerged with FC Barcelona.

At 13 years of age, the 2011-born Mohamed Dabone has been compared to a mix of Antetokounmpo and Wembanyama, with the FC Barcelona product drawing rave reviews from everyone who has seen him play. Now, the crowd of people that have seen him play will grow, as he has officially been promoted to the first team in the FC Barcelona organization, meaning he'll be playing among grown men before turning 14.

Despite being just 13, Dabone stands at 6-foot-11 with incredible length, defense, athleticism, and great range on the offensive end, making him one of the most well-rounded prospects in basketball. Even though he'll be playing against grown men, he is not draft-eligible until 2030, and like Doncic, that will give him years to hone his game against some of the best competition in Europe.

There's always a chance that players like this can peak early and not make an impact at the NBA level or even make it there, but after the 'Alien' Victor Wembanyama lived up to the hype, don't be surprised to see Dabone take the NBA by storm in the coming years.
