Denver Nuggets Add Depth By Signing Talented Young Forward Kessler Edwards

The Denver Nuggets have fallen short in the NBA Playoffs these past few seasons, and this offseason, the front office has been aggressive in changing things up for this roster. Already this summer, the Nuggets have added Cam Johnson, Jonas Valanciunas, Bruce Brown, and Tim Hardaway, and now, they've added more depth and length to their bench unit.

On Tuesday, it was officially confirmed that the team will be adding former Dallas Mavericks forward Kessler Edwards to their roster after flashing great potential last season.

The 25-year-old former second-round pick hasn't gotten much of a chance at playing time yet, but in just 15 minutes a night, he averaged a solid 4.2 points and 3 rebounds per game. The 6-foot-8 forward may not get much more of a chance in Denver, but with the opportunity to potentially play a role off the bench, he could bring great length and versatility to a team that desperately needs it.

With the addition of Edwards, it can be argued that this Nuggets team has the deepest roster in the entire NBA, and if Edwards can get significant playing time, he'll benefit from the experience that's going to be around him on a nightly basis. Only time will tell if the 25-year-old can actually step up to the plate and be a significant contributor, but with great length and the ability to get a lot out of his small minutes on both ends of the floor, this is the perfect situation to end up in.
