Nikola Jokic Makes More History Following Another Ridiculous Offensive Season

Back in 2014, the Denver Nuggets used a second-round pick on Nikola Jokic, a Serbian center, and now, it appears as though it's the greatest decision that the franchise has ever made. In his career, Jokic has gone on to win three MVP awards while leading Denver to their first NBA Championship, and even at 31-years of age, he continues to get better and better.

Last season, Jokic posted 30 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists per game, becoming the first player since Russell Westbrook (and third in NBA history) to average a triple-double over a full season. In 2025/26, he's backed it up with another incredible campaign, averaging 28, 13 and 11, becoming only the second player in NBA history to average a triple-double in more than one full season.

This all comes despite less than stellar athleticism and a sometimes questionable motor, but given his IQ and his knowledge of the game, it's easy to see how he's dominated the league for several seasons. While many start winding their careers down in their early 30's, Jokic is just getting better and better, and with a team set up for success in Denver, this may not be the last time he averages a triple-double.

Ultimately, Jokic could end his career as a top-10 player in NBA history, and while some discredit his play, given that he's averaged 22, 11 and 8 over his career, it's safe to say that we're witnessing one of the most impressive peaks in league history.
